Our production process genetares as scrap Corten Steel Sheets, a high quality material. Bearing in mind our zero waste premise, we invited SuperLimão Studio, Nada Se Leva, Camila Sarpi, Thomaz Bondioli e Diana Albuquerque, to design, collectively and individually, furniture and lamps. The project was first seen by the public at the 2012 edition of Design Weekend São Paulo, when Waldick Jatobá, design enthusiast, one of the Salão Design São Paulo founders and Artistic Director at Firmacasa, brought us this opportunity.
cutting-edge design
SuperLimão Studio
From its creation in 2002, the main goal of SuperLimão Studio has always been seeking new aesthetic languages, inspired by the day-to-day life in the big cities. The search for responsible ways of transforming materials, usually industrial, recycled and/or recyclable, is constant.
Each project or piece of work becomes unique by the origin of these materials, which are transformed into structures and coatings using diverse techniques. Great time is spent on the research for new solutions and applications to existing manufacturing processes in order to transform raw materials of everyday objects into unique high value added pieces.
The SuperLimão Studio develops architectural projects for comercial purposes, like restaurants, night clubs, stores, offices, residences and exclusive pieces for interior design, in addition to a relevant line of furniture.
Nada se Leva
Created in August 2005, the “Nada Se Leva” Studio is a fruit of the empathy in style between its designers Andre Bastos and Guilherme Leite Ribeiro. Their work blends the ludic and nostalgic with modern technology, which inspires them to translate the luxury of the past to nowadays streamline. As an unique way to bring to present those elements from the past, they use technologies such as laser cutting, formica prints, printing on glass and unusual materials.
Mixing this technology and design to traditional techniques are to “Nada Se Leva”, the common language – the way that the designers managed to rescue the past linking it to what is newest. The inspiration to the unique lines they create is also supported by the use of various materials such as wood, glass, acrylic and formica.
Diana Albuquerque
Diana has BsC degree in architecture from Mackenzie Presbiterian University), and became a partner of Tree Architecture office in São Paulo shortly after graduation, in 2009. Before that, she worked in several architecture firms, focusing on the design of furniture for several commercial and residential projects. As for the materials used, Diana chooses a mix that ranges from old to new, from usual to unusual. Her main goal is to compose and work those materials creating gentle and subtle items, always trying to achieve harmony and even a certain bucolic and simple feeling to her work.
Camila Sarpi
